Godzilla vs Kong Spoiler Review
Hey guys, so I just saw Godzilla vs Kong a couple nights ago and I absolutely loved it. However, this review is going to contain spoilers, so if you don't want to hear spoilers, you have ten seconds to click away. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...
Okay, if you're still here, I'm going to assume you've already seen the movie or don't care if you get spoiled. So, I've been anticipating this film ever since it was announced. I am a huge fan of Godzilla and I've seen every Godzilla movie there is and over the past couple months I also watched almost every King Kong movie to get excited for the rematch of the century. So if you're still watching this and haven't seen this movie, then you are probably wondering how it all went down. So here's how it went:
Basically what happens in this movie is that Godzilla has been attacking cities where Apex Cybernetics facilities are located which causes a lot of alarm, panic, and collateral damage, so one of the characters in the movie says "We need Kong. The world needs him". Now when the film delivers on its title, there are two fights between the two monsters. One at the convoys and another in the city of Hong Kong. People who are on Team Godzilla will be happy to know that Godzilla wins both of those fights, but in the fight in Hong Kong, King Kong doesn't go down without a fight. In the fight in Hong Kong, Kong finds this axe thing in a place called hollow earth that looks like one of Godzilla's dorsal plates and he uses it in the second fight. And let me say that all the scenes with Kong and hollow earth are pretty cool scenes and good fanservice for the people on Team Kong. It seems like King Kong has the upper hand and all things considered, it was an evenly matched fight. But in the end, Godzilla is the winner after a fair fight.
However, after both of those fights, they go with the Batman vs Superman formula by revealing that there is a real bad guy in this movie. As it turns out, the cybernetics facility was working on a Mechagodzilla that is controlled by the neural networks of the severed Ghidorah head from the post credits scene of Godzilla: King of the Monsters. So then what ends up happening is that the two monsters team up to stop Mechagodzilla and save the day.
So overall, I was pretty impressed with how it turned out. I guess the Batman vs Superman formula was a little predictable, but this was still a really entertaining and visually impressive film! It managed to pay tribute and respect to both franchises by being a great Godzilla movie and a great King Kong movie! This film is definitely in my top 15 Godzilla movies somewhere and also in my top 5 King Kong movies. So I think if you love Godzilla, King Kong, or both, then you will really enjoy this movie. I honestly think it's one of the better Hollywood movies out there right now and it's the big blockbuster that's bringing the movie industry back. This movie didn't have any of the "woke" agendas that many Hollywood movies have. This is just a really fun monster movie. If you want to see Godzilla vs Kong, then you're going to get Godzilla vs Kong. I give this movie a solid "B" grade. So if you love monster movies, go see this movie. God bless.
